Our Hilton Head Vacay!

Hi guys! Sorry for the brief hiatus. The week before vacay was CRAY-ZAY between work being nuts and getting everything ready to go. Then the week of vacay we both did not pack our laptops, to make it a true "vacation". Alas, I did take some Instagram photos with my Iphone, and catch up on some of your blogs as well at night during my down time.

So here we go, I will give you a quick run down of our vacation, and then some pics.

Food:
- One Hot Mama's was our favorite place there. Awesome rib/wing joint, with the best cornbread I have ever had. This place was really cool because the interior walls are brick, and they let you write your names on the wall. We ate here twice.

- Salty Dog Cafe: I don't think you are allowed to come to Hilton Head and not eat here. The restaurant is in a section with 2 other Salty Dog chain restaurants, but we went with the original. The food was so-so, the service was great. We didn't have high expectations, but went just to say we went.

-Truffles Cafe: A very close tie with One Hot Mama's, this place was really good. Very modern atmosphere and a great menu. The best blondie dessert EVER! We didn't discover this place until our last day and were sad we didn't get to eat here more. Sorry no pic of this place, but here is a cute pic of Lana rocking her Salty Dog bandana:

Stuff we did:
Bike rides: We rented bikes once we got there, after we discovered all of the bike trails in the area we stayed. We rode every day to different parts of the island:

Harbour Town
Ruins of Baynard Plantation, built in 1790

Stayed away from our backyard alligator:

Went to the beach with the pups:

Went and saw this super cool, OLD tree:

And most importantly relaxed, slept in, and didn't work! We had a blast in Hilton Head, our first and definitely not last, trip there.

    1. It was really cute, and all the shops there near the restaurant have all the merchandise. If you go it is a must!
